#2 beauty in the overlooked series

This time we have mushrooms. It’s a companion piece to the beetles one from before. This I think might be a bit more successful, mostly because the background is lighter. But lighter feels more appropriate for mushrooms, because they spring from the earth and beetles are busy in the earth. The last one will be slugs

They are about 90cm x 40cm (approx 40 * 16”)

I like the soft hazy rainbow effect. Did you wet the canvas first?
Those blue mushrooms are my faves of this bunch.

The three will cheer up any room…rainbow and three of my favorite subjects. Beautiful, interesting and different!

Ooooo, I’m really digging on this series! I like how they are clearly parts of a series, but also distinctly their own because of the differences in how you did the color spectrum backgrounds. I’m excited for the slugs!

They’re somehow both calming and fun at the same time. Beautiful work!

I’m already dreaming about slugs. Ones that move very fast and jump at your neck. :grimacing:

As gorgeous as the beatle painting. I love the brighter colors and overall look and can’t wait to see your slug painting.

Marvelous mushrooms! I love this just as much as the first one. It’s also impressive how they work well on their own, and work well together and compliment each other. You’ve chosen great subjects, and executed them so well!

Is your series based on living things only?
