Birthday quilt

This is finally done. Not a very enjoyable make, it kinda wrecked my head as I couldn’t get the angles right ( much ripping of seams) But I’m fairly happy with it and the recipient loves it.

Love the bold pattern! and the use of HSTs on the back is a fun detail.

Such a striking pattern with the high contrast between the prints and solid black!

Always love that touch on the back. The black panels are very striking and really make it pop!

Sorry it wasn’t an enjoyable make. I know exactly how that feels. Stupid math and angles.

It’s striking tho.

I don’t mind the math, it was just that all the blues went one way and the greens the other. I kept mixing them up. Plus it’s generated about 40 redundant HST, but it’ll mean there’s a quick quilt that I can make with them.

“don’t mind the math”

Me either, usually. I did have to apologise to my elementary school teacher for the "when will I ever use fraction multiplication as an adult? " snark. Turns out. As a quilter. I do it often.
