cozy mysteries, Jack Reacher (hmmm, those are polar opposites, eh?)
and anything by Max Lucado
oh, and historical fiction
Horror, thrillers, fantasy, a little true crime, sometimes scifi. I’ve been reading a lot of Grady Hendrix and T Kingfisher lately. Grew up reading Stephen King.
My favourite is probably cosy sci fi.
These are my genres so far this year:
A lot of romance and romantasy from my bookclubs.
Philosophy and non-fiction. Occasionally, I can get pulled into fiction, usually fantasy.
Sci-fi and fantasy!
I read mostly horror, fantasy and science fiction. I also read cozy mystery and thrillers and historical stories with a mystery hidden in the past. I can read romance sometimes but it’s not my cup of tea.
I find that the way to find romances I actually like is to keep an eye on what the SF/F readers are recommending; since the genre is so huge and leans heavily on its plot formulae I need someone else to scout for the ones that have the bits I’m going to enjoy.
How is everyone doing? I have 2 more bookmarks to make!
I’m almost done with all 3 - just some final touches left.
I’m probably about 30% finished with both of mine. Last week I started one that should have been done by now, but the medium became a bit… unruly? So i changed course.
Starting mine today! (they’ve been in line behind stuff from last weekend)
I have a bunch of ideas written down, but still in the research stage.
I think I’ve settled on a final idea. Just gotta add it to the base-in-progress and do any finishing touches.
Finished up the last of my bookmarks today!
Will be sending tomorrow! ![]()
I have one finished, and the other needs about 5 minutes of love and then to the post office I go!

Gallery link is up, and also linked in the “partners” section above!
I’ve got a good start on one of the bookmarks tonight on my book club/dinner/craft night. Husband claims it lacks a _________ with a __________ and I think he’s probably right. I’ll see about adding it tomorrow.
