Christmas Craftalong

I’m trying to tackle the mess in my craftroom, and I’ve already came across four stitched pieces that are destined to become ornaments. That’s a nice and quick job that I might even finish this weekend. One is a Homer Simpson ornament, for my sibling, but I might stitch it a few more times because more people might like it. I’m going to finish sorting stuff first, maybe I’ll find more!

We need some of you “pass it on” mojo. The girls are moving into the bigger room today and I have no idea how we lived with all this stuff in such a tiny place for so long. The stuffies have been particularly challenging. Our keep pile is still so big and the attic and donate piles are small by comparison.

This is the “keep” pile. Send help!

Pigeon hung up a stuffy hammock, those are nifty storage that’s easy to fill up for quick tidying. I’ve seen a lightweight chain with clips for stuffies, makes a nice display. There are also beanbag seats for stuffing with toys, good for favourites rotation too.
Best of luck, dear friends!

We have 2 stuffy hammocks. They are overflowing! My brother recommended the bean bag thing to me. It’s a good idea!

We’re working on embracing “the container is the limit” mentality. You have a bookshelf. However many books fit nicely on the shelf is how many books you can keep. Shelf full and want new books? You gotta make room by getting rid of your least favorites. That sort of thing. It’s a process.

I do that for myself as well…if there is no room in my closet, or shoe storage…something has to go!

@Abbeeroad … stuffies are tough…my sister and I couldn’t give away anything with eyes…it wasn’t until we were out of the house that my mom basically threw them all out…

One of my oldest friends moved abroad but is visiting during the holiday period.

I just came across this little thing on Pinterest but it would be perfect for her:

Edit: I don’t have a machine to do the cutting, but I’m totally stealing the idea.

Oh, you surely can do that! There are loads of free templates that you can cut out and sew!

Those would make fun Halloween trinkets to give as well!

After buying some supplies at the dollar store earlier today, I couldn’t resist making a couple of cards:

I shirked nearly all my duties today and finished another wash cloth:

I like this color scheme, it’s cheerful. I got the yarn in a blind “grab bag” from hobbii ages ago and there are 2 of them so I think i can do 4 in this color way.

Worked on another one while Kidlet was in her dance class tonight. With fewer than 70 days until December first I really want to keep cruising on these.

@Abbeeroad I am late on the stuffies situation. Many police departments keep plushies in their cruisers to give to children in traumatic situations, such as car accidents, domestic violence calls, DCS removals, etc. Consider your local police if you have more to donate.
