Christmas Craftalong

Good idea! But, I forgot I can just come here and search on my username to see what I have made! This Craftalong really helped me focus last year! I didn’t make everything on my list, but at least I had ideas to work on and projects I liked from other posters. So many good ideas and inspritation!

OK. I think a lot of us did pretty good tackling a lot off our holiday list! The wine ornaments I made my two nieces were a big hit. They also loved the cookies I made and of course, the traditional purchased gifts of petit fours and sausage.

It was nice not being caught off guard and rushing through the holidays, so I am going to make it a goal to get things done every month. Here is my loose list for now:

Cookies
Rum Balls
Christmas Crack
Chubby Hubby
Date Balls
Sand Tarts
Ornaments
Sweater mittens
At least 4 from my Pinterest Board
Ornaments for Paula and Andrea for our lunch meet up
Christmas Cards
Gifts
Apron for my friend Andrea
Crochet Coasters for D, S and B
Stitching
Finish Christmas tryphitch
Small Prairie School pieces (maybe these can be the ornaments for Paula and Andrea)

This is what I was thinking would be a faster way, but I hadn’t physically tested it out. I’m happy that, now, I don’t have to! Thanks for sharing your modifications!

I think for something more precious like a blanket that the other method makes for a nicer border on the front and back, but for coasters, the short cut works.

I have made three sets…well, almost three…I ran out of white yarn so I have 11-1/2 coasters! I need to see if I have anything in my stash, otherwise, I will have to make the last set a different color and just keep the other two as spares for myself! I am not buying more yarn for one coaster! ha ha
