This is what I was thinking would be a faster way, but I hadn’t physically tested it out. I’m happy that, now, I don’t have to! Thanks for sharing your modifications!

I think for something more precious like a blanket that the other method makes for a nicer border on the front and back, but for coasters, the short cut works.
I have made three sets…well, almost three…I ran out of white yarn so I have 11-1/2 coasters! I need to see if I have anything in my stash, otherwise, I will have to make the last set a different color and just keep the other two as spares for myself! I am not buying more yarn for one coaster! ha ha

I was a bit upset that I could not find my Christmas Pickle ornament to hang on the tree. When I was growing up, whoever found the pickle in the tree got to open a present first on Christmas day. That tradition is no longer carried out since it is just me and Jim now, but I still want a pickle in my tree!
@Cindy made an Emotional Pickle for her husband and was kind enough to send me some sparkly yarn to make my pickle!

I made my first foray into make wax seals! These will adorn holiday envelopes or gifts… or get re-melted when I get better at making them

I don’t think you can use them on the outside envelope of USPS mail. But, they would be fun on cards or even gift wrap paper for things you can hand deliver. (or put an envelope in an envelope).
Looking at movie clips where they use wax to seal and stamp their correspondence, it looks like you certainly don’t need perfect. They are fun and send a happy little extra!

I recently got a wedding invitation that had one attached, so I wonder if it’s allowed, but you either have to pay extra or have things hand canceled. Or, maybe it was inside the envelope, directly on the invitation- I can’t remember!
In any case, knowing myself, I won’t end up sending cards, so I will use them on gifts instead

I’ve seen them on the back of handmade cards with initials of the person. I just think it is a fun little addition to anything.

I’m still dealing with Summerween but I do need to think of / plan for Christmas. There’s also an extra person on my gift list now. Right before Christmas Mr. Imma has a special birthday coming up so at the very least I need to figure out what the plans / gifts are for each celebration.
Oh, how I regret typing my previous post. Looks like I jinxed it for everyone in Europe.

Exactly 25 weeks until Dec 25. I think I’m going to make about 4-6 8 oz bottles of Vanilla Extract for some gifts for Christmas this year (& for myself). I’m hoping to get them started by next week so they have 6 months to sit. I’m planning to use the Kirkland American Vodka that’s supposed to be about $14/bottle and works well. That 1 bottle from Costco can make exactly 7 8 oz bottles or 12 4 oz bottles.

I am going to spend some of this weekend planning on a few things to make. Mostly some more cross stitch pieces and a few hats for my little niece. I also want to make her a toddler sized backpack. Her birthday is in December so she needs extra stuff.
List:
- Purse or backpack for great niece
- Ornaments for nieces
- Ornaments for goddaughters (4)
- Handmade Christmas cards for local friends
- Handmade cards for Happy mail
- Hats for great niece . 2?
- Christmas cross stitch
