I forgot to check for the check-in question!

I have my pins mostly in a little container but I have a jacket I made that is in DIRE NEED of them! The jacket has a little bird embroidered by a friend sewn inside underneath the back collar.

But I also wear a nice brooch on a dress or to clasp a shawl or scarf on occasion.

I think the brooch I’m making for @Harlan is coming along. Just need to assemble the pieces. The brooch for @stirlingarts is about halfway there. I want to redo some components.

You made that jacket? It looks fantastic! Imagine how great it will be with some flair!

Well here is my canvas coat.

My favorite patch is the Narcan one (Harm reduction for the win). My favorite pin right now is my Trans Rights pin also seen in the closeup. I’m excited to add additional pins or brooches to it.

I have some bulk lapel pins I bought last year. I have one like this:

(This is just an image from eBay since I don’t know where it got to)

This is my favorite one.

Here is part of my collection. Every one has a story, so each one is meaningful to me. For example, the medal is from winning an essay contest in sixth or seventh grade. The ERA pin is from the 1970s–the second round of trying to get it ratified.

These are two tiny Indian babies, made by Native artisans in the 1960s, or possibly the 1950s, and given to me as a child. Each one is about 1.75” tall. The pouches are leather. I have always worn them as pins, using safety pins for clasps.

Those Native babies are amazing!

I have this idea that they are Navajo, but I don’t know whether that’s true or I made it up :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: They could be Apache.

I like brooches; I just don’t have any. I do stare at them at our local resell store.

Fourth maybe fifth times the charm with @stirlingarts brooch. It has been an adventure but I finally landed on something I like. The concept stayed the same but I definitely had to experiment.

@Harlan’s brooch is also finished. That one came together quite nicely.

I may wait to ship until I’m back from PDX, which will be about a week before the ship date. Or I may bring to PDX and ship from there … I haven’t decided yet.
