send outs are a week away. How’s everyone feeling? Are you on track? Do you need more time?
I think I’m on track to send on time. Assuming a to-be-constructed element works in execution and not just in concept…
… working on it! I wouldn’t be heartbroken if we had a bit more time though
I think I’ll be ok, but definitely will not be disappointed if send outs were extended.
Same here. Extra time would be nice because it’s a bank holiday on Monday so I’d have be super organised and get things done by Saturday to post in time.
Let’s extend to Sept 2.
I was going to say Sept 1 but that is a bank holiday in the US
I’m feeling good after the Zoom yesterday and some solid craft time today! I have one page 99% done, one page 95% done, and one page about 80% done. That is much better than the 0% I had done a week ago.
I think it worked!! Now I just have get over the page assembly hurdle.
I think I’m nearly done. The original idea went out the window and the follow up idea diversified into something else but I think I’m there
I definitely appreciate the extra time. I have the majority of the materials selected for each of the three, and just need since solid time to sit and assemble. This weekend we’re away so having some time next week will help!
Pages are assembled and photo shoot completed! I’m hoping to get them in the mail tomorrow or Tuesday.
I am totally overthinking everything I’m making …
One partner is done, one mostly done and the other maybe 30% done and I just saw a new technique yesterday that is super cute that I want to try. Hopefully I can pull it off
Mine are done! I just need to photograph everything. Based on my work schedule, I’ll have them in the mail on Thursday or Friday!
So glad for the later send out! Still working on mine and thankful for the holiday weekend coming up.
I was able to try out the new technique and it is super cute!
I think I am finished. but will probably wait a day to make sure.
I think I’m pretty much finished too
I did finally semi-finished my first junk journal, ready for the swap partners’ goodies. Learned a lot from this first one. I used grocery paper bags for the pages. Opted to see the signatures together and used a decorative contact paper for the cover.
I used cereal boxes for the base of the covers and I think it’s too thin. I’ll used a more substantial material next time. The contact paper was fine, but too thin to hide the design of the cereal box. I should have flipped the box and used the plain internal side to hide the design better.
I like using the brown paper bags for the pages. I tend to upcycle products in my crafting. Good for the environment and easy on the wallet.
That looks fantastic!!
Love it! I like using paper bags too.
You could also paint cereal boxes with a thin coat of white paint to help the design not show through next time/
