I’m with @Manders - I can’t watch TV and craft, but I do listen to audiobooks while I work on things!
I like to crochet and knit when watching tv, if it’s a simple pattern and embroider. I’ll also do paper crafts (cards, scrapbooking, painting) when watching if it’s something that’s a re-watch and just fun background noise.
It is going great. I have some reallly good ideas. Just got back home from Texas to visit my grandmother and I hit up the local craft stores for supplies. We only have walmart and a local quilting shop here.
I don’t watch TV. At least not at home. Last turned it on 2 years ago just to see if that side of my living room had electricity (half my apt went down. Turns out I had a bare wire sparking behind the electricsl box!). It’s been s few years before that since I had it on. I do watch TV at friends houses though. No crafting happens though - just talking. I would craft at my friend DJ’s but their lighting SUCKS.
That said - I want to get back into watching TV / movies and ADD IRONING BOARD i figure that would make me more willing to actually iron all my quilting projects.
Incidentally: Tuesday is ironing day. Because Tuesday is associated with Mars, which is associated with the metal iron. So Tuesday = Ironing day.
My partner, geek girl, and I are stalking and chatting with each other and getting ideas
Not a big TV watcher, but if I did watch a lot of TV, I don’t think I could craft. I need to focus too much on the crafting. It would only work if I practically knew the TV show or movie by heart and had it on just for background noise.
ETA: I got my supplies for the medium! I will begin making one of the smalls this weekend.
Honestly, I’m likelier than not to be reading while I watch TV instead of crafting, but occasionally I’ll work on a crochet or cross-stitch project if it’s not too involved.
I will cross stitch or do other handcrafts while watching tv, but these days I’m more likely to turn on a podcast or music.
I craft while watching tv, but nothing I really need to pay attention to. More like rewatching sitcoms or drama series. Especially things like basic knitting or crochet - I mostly just have the audio in the background.
I don’t really craft while watching tv because there’s usually a cat snuggling with me demanding attention. I don’t usually listen to anything while crafting but have started listening to music or podcasts.
I’m currently in the phase of this swap where I’m second guessing whether things are my taste or my partner’s.
I struggle with that for every swap too. But I think I’ve got a good handle on @Rlynn tastes. (I THINK )
Just finished up a project-I’d say a medium. I still have plenty of ideas to bring to life, though.
I started working on my big item. It’s turning out well so far, but I still have a way to go!
I have one something almost done and supplies secured for the rest. I think. Probably.
One small is finished. I tried my hand at something relatively newish to me (as in the only other time I did this craft was for a craft swap back in the day) and I really like how it turned out.
Going to try to get started on the medium today.
Knitting in the winter, otherwise playing around with paper - drawings, paper craft, mixed media bits, etc.
lol same. But I think we have a lot of overlap in our tastes!
I’ve got some things done, but I need to adjust one of my ideas. It’s not turning out how I want it to look so back to the drawing board. I’m hoping that I have a good chunk of time this weekend after all of the Halloween excitement!
Still in the planning stages, but I have some ideas!
Only if I’m painting/drawing. But I definitely can’t focus when I’m sewing. It’s usually audiobooks or music for me.
I started a set of smalls but am still in the prep phase. I have a vague idea on my medium and a definite plan for my other small.
