I made this using the cotton yarn that looked brown in the store but turned out to be purple in real light. I used the tutorial on Gathered.
Now I just need to make a shirt to go under it 
Does anybody else make the accessories first and then make the garment to go with them?

And yes, I’ve been known to be an “accessories first” kinda girl. 
So cute! I’ve always been annoyed with the lighting in craft stores. Especially with the yarn and DMC floss. They should have a spot with a daylight lamp where you can take your stuff and look at it under good lighting. Twice now I’ve brought a book to different stores to match the colors on the cover and it’s been meh when I get outside!

Yesterday I went to the thrift store and found two linen shirts. So now I don’t have to do buttonholes
