I forgot to add in my original post these are SO much easier to hide without worry of forgetting one. We hid eggs inside one year due to rain and came up 1 short every time. We decided we had just miscounted and went on about our business. A few weeks later this horrendous smell came from our living room. Searched high and low. Finally realized it was coming from the grandfather clock-someone had hidden an egg in there. Long story short- we had to toss the clock because we couldn’t get the putrid smell out of it

Too bad I only remembered them so close to Easter (I considered posting the pattern on my Blog, that’s why I wrote it out, but decided against it after all).
