May I present the easiest, most satisfying, whimsical garden project?

Mini wattle fencing!

Take big sticks, put in ground about 6-8 inches apart, fill with spare branches! It’s super cute, and surprisingly fast. And oh so satisfying.

Pictures don’t convey the amazingness.

I even had a neighbor (who I don’t know) cross the street with her dog to tell me how much she loved them. She said they’re “cottage-y” and whimsical. Which is what I want in my life so I’m considering it a win.

Your wattle fencing is charming as all get-out! I have always loved this kind of fencing and am envious that you get to have it. If you do decide to take a close-up still photo, I’d love to see it added!

I did this around my mailbox one year with saplings I had cleared from the back part of my property, but that was a much smaller length of fence than you have! It looks great!

Come to think of it, my mailbox needs some sprucing up, and my pussywillow needs to be trimmed back…
