-Here is some researched data on filter layers. Basically it says non-woven material that can either be replace or sterilized. Since fusible interfacing meets both those criteria, I guess that means it is as good if not better than a replaceable filter.
This is not my image but here’s an example of a way to thread the ties so they go around the back of the head twice. This is a good option if you need to temporarily remove the mask for any reason. Simply untie where it’s fastened at the top of the head and let the mask drop down to hang around the neck. Grab the ties and refasten behind the head when you’re ready to put it back on. You haven’t had to touch the actual mask at all and nothing else has touched the inside part so it stays relatively clean.
