I recently went to Scout camp with two of my kids (at the request of my 17yo!)
I brought with me 42 tiny frogs and enough supplies to make a bunch more while I was there. I left them in various places around camp. I lost track of how many I actually gave away, but I’m thinking over 60.
I used Lucy Ravenscar’s Mini Pets - Bugs and Frogs pattern but modified it heavily to be finishable in 10 minutes. For the eyes, I used round shank buttons and crocheted them in while making the face. There was no sewing and no needles due to using an end weaving tool. Instead of stuffing, I inserted a 1 inch pompom into each one. It gave them some shape without having to stuff them or carry around a bag of fluff.
I had so much fun hiding them all over camp! During down time I would sit and make more, and then leave one behind when I got up. Kids would come up to me and ask, “are you the frog lady?” Many of them came to say thank you and show me their frog they found.
He didn’t hang out with me there but he was always checking in. “What did you think of the dining hall? What did you think of the flag ceremony?” He’s a sweet heart

The frogs are so cute, and hiding them all around for the kids to find sound like a lot of fun.

That is so fun, and such a fun game to let the kids in on. I recall a seaside town in Oregon that annually puts out blown glass orbs on the beach for anyone to find. I love stuff like this!
