I hope you’ll feel better soon! A misbehaving galbladder is no picnic
I had the gallbladder removed, but there were complications. I had another procedure this morning, and will have one more. Thank you all for you patience. I am currently still stuck in the hospital ( and going a lottle stir craxy).
I am on the mend and will send partners tomorrow.
I am sending questionnaires now and I added a week to the send out date. Thank you for your patience.
I was wondering why I didn’t get assigned a partner yet, and… it looks like I never sent the questionnaire in (not seeing it in my sent folder). I swear I resent after I commented 8 days ago about losing my initial attempt. I even started crafting! (There was an anniversary/Earth Day crafting event last weekend so figured I’d start)
Have fun swapping!
Oh no!
Aw, that’s too bad!
I’m still in the thinking phase… I have a couple ideas already!
My crafting today so far was trying to protect the bird feeder from deer by fastening zip ties making it pointy… Very advanced stuff.
I also ripped out some lambs ear and took to the ”plant library” (swap shelf) down at the local library. I came back with a new library book and a tomato seedling. Fingers crossed I’ll be able to keep it alive until it can be repotted and put outside.
Lets do a check in question! What is your favorite plant/flower?
Calla lilies are my favorite flowers and basil is my favorite herb. My son and I are doing a vegetable garden this year and to get a head start, we started seeds indoors and hopefully planting in mid May when it starts to really warm up here in Colorado.
Here is our progress so far
Morning glories! No, hollyhocks! No, tomatoes! No, cholla cactus! Ack, can’t decide!
My favorite plant is any one I manage to revive from being some sad mostly-dead, discarded plop out behind a plant nursery or big box store. Love me some plant freebies.
My favorite flower is a tie between magnolias and plumeria, but I do adore pea blossoms and lily of the valley too. Of course, ask me in a month and I’ll have a different list, haha.
Difficult question! You’d think I love orchids. I have several small ones growing in glasses of water and a newer one that’s blooming. However I’m not that good at taking care of them…
In the garden I’m excited over seening what’s starting to wake up after the winter.
The chives are starting to poke up, and I love that it’s edible and early.
Other favourites in the garden: Globe-thistle, lavender, honeysuckle, wild strawberries (smultron).
The roe deer have been feasting… the poor Japanese maple was quite aggressively pruned. Not sure what elsethey have munched on this time
Do you have garden pests/”helpers” that youhave to deal with?
I have raccoons! Birdfeeder bandits!
The birds are always here poking around in the grass and whatnot. Last year we had grasshopper-palooza and the birds were as well fed as they could catch them and those grasshoppers still munched all my green onions down…
But the raccoon family, I found them trying to move into my deluxe size birdfeeder in the middle of the night. Pests!
The broken birdfeeder isn’t missed, though, thankfully.
I feed some friendly ferals around my property, and a raccoon has found out. He has been eating the food. I try to take it in before he comes, but he started coming earlier. So far, he hasn’t messed with the cats, but most of them leave when he shows up. He is a big fatty. I am not the only home he is stealing cat food from.
The raccoons and coyotes are the reason I don’t feed our feral cat buddies. Though I would if I could keep the others away…
I wish I had a picture of when the roe deer stod in a planter to better reach the bird feeder… The deer are fat and happy around here. We’ve got lots of visitors so the feeders stay up still. Woodpeckers, doves, various tits, squirrels, robins, and plenty of birds I can’t name in english without looking it up. It’s so much fun, even if we end up feeding the deer too.
Still just sketching and jotting down ideas. They look better than my first scribbles on the back on an envelope. I might be onto something!
Went to a couple of garage sales today and was able to find items I needed for this project, at a fraction of the cost if I had gone to a craft store! I think I have everything and will be starting this weekend.
