I wonder if there will be more spooky swaps this year? Im gunna attempt to actually post 15 times (I think Im at 5). This really reminds me of the old craftster

There usually are, but they are more specific, like the Chunky House or Vintage. There is no guarantee, though. It depends on whether anyone else hosts one.

Back when Craftster was around, we did the 13 Days of Halloween. That one was cool, you made 13 items that were opened daily, kind of like the 12 days of Christmas.

Just a thought if anyone else is thinking of starting another Halloween swap, you should do it soon. You need to give sign-up time, craft time, and shipping time!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll get enough posts in to be able to participate in swaps. I understand why there’s that requirement - I think - get to know the person, assess their level of commitment/responsibility before taking a spot, etc. I wonder if there could be other ways to achieve that, or at the very least make the # of posts lower. Perhaps see how one swap goes and have only one swap at a time? I’m an introvert, so it’s a challenge for me to make 15 posts. That doesn’t affect my reliability, work put into my ATCs, or interest in the group. For me, posting would happen slowly as I became more comfortable here.

We keep that number because we guarantee packages. We try to make sure the person is indeed active on the site and will remain that way. If someone flakes on a swap, we find another member to create and send a package. Where I do not doubt your intent to swap, there are people in the World who would join, get a package, and drop back out, costing one of our members time and money to rectify it.
Don’t worry, you will get there and we host a lot of swaps throughout the year.

I am so excited for this! I have a couple more weeks before I can set out my decorations. I usually wait until after my youngest’s birthday in September so he can feel like his day is special and not overshadowed by Halloween.
