Challenge: Chapter 21 Hermione’s Secret
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Flower T for SmartDoll
Project Description: Last time I tried to make a SmartDoll T it was…not great. The neckline was the biggest problem, because sewing for dolls and sewing for people can be quite different. I was really intimidated to try again, but I have some delightful fabric I want to use, and I decided to do a practice run on some different fabric, first. After finding some FABULOUS tutorials on YouTube, I was able to make this today.

Advanced Studies Friday Update
(What do you mean it isnt friday? Time has no meaning here! Right? No? Just me? ‘Kay, nice.)
I just ordered my soon to be 4 year old daughter’s “big girl bed” and now am really getting motivated to do my scary fabric craft for her little decorating makeover. She’s been on a floor bed and has chosen a (wee) loft bed (with slide, thank you very much Wayfair) so when we rearrange furniture and all that it would, no it WILL, be so nice to have her flag bunting ready to hang up, too.
My besties says sometimes “its always X time somewhere”, which is true. But then one time he said “its always saturday somewhere”. I was tired and it took my way too long to realised what he said. But its a saying now
Class or Challenge Title: Arithmancy House: Gryffindor! Project Name & Page Link:Rainbow Carpenter’s Wheel Wall Quilt Brief Description: I used math to figure out how to make this classic quilt design into a small size, based on the amount of scrap fabric I had on hand. It’s made from the scraps of Ada’s baby quilt, and was given to our fertility specialist as a thank you gift. Project Picture:
Class or Challenge Title: Muggle Studies House: Gryffindor! Project Name & Page Link: Embroidered Quilt Label Brief Description: I had to reteach myself how to embroider words with my 22 year old computerized sewing machine to make a label for my wall quilt! Project Picture:
Class or Challenge Title: House Pride House: Gryffindor! Project Name & Page Link: Gift Wrapping Brief Description: Getting anything extra done with Ada here is a bit of a miracle whenever I manage to do it. Usually what might have taken an hour, takes a few days, in bits and pieces. In this case I wrapped up rainbow suncatchers for several of the clinic staff, labeled them all, wrote cards, and packed everything up all pretty and matching. I love how “together” it all looks, when things aren’t all that together at my house right now. Project Picture:
Class or Challenge Title: Detention - Repairo House: Gryffindor! Project Name & Page Link: Dress Hemming Brief Description: I managed to hem my 3 nursing dresses over the last two months. Now I’m not tripping! Project Picture:
Class or Challenge Title: Detention - WiP House: Gryffindor! Project Name & Page Link: Wreath Organization Brief Description: I started this WiP a few months before Ada was born! Her closet used to be our household storage. Since putting her nursery together, I have been trying to make the most use of existing space, including the garage. (We had the hanging racks installed for bulky stuff.) But I figured I’d get the holiday wreaths off our shelving (which also serves as a pantry), and up on the walls. I ordered the wreath storage bags and Command hooks on Amazon, but hadn’t gotten around to putting up the hooks on the wall. Done! Project Picture:
@MistressJennie the rainbow of fabrics against the black background is so stunning!

Project Name: YoSD Capelet
Project Description: I really love capes and capelets, and have always been intrigued by this set . Autumn is coming, and the weather here has been tipping us off that it might be sooner rather than later, so I wanted to knit a little capelet. I found this pattern on Ravelry, and decided to try some variations. This is my first, and it fits YoSD size (~26cm tall) dolls. I see a lot of these in my future, lol!

Its a birthday present for my younger brother, and although one can think he is a child, he is actually turning 35. He collect crocodiles, and I thought it fit to make something else than a plushie (which is how most of his crocodiles are made of). I draw a sketch first, and then made a pattern and made it into a wall hanging. Project Picture:
