Hedging the Market, Needle Felting

So adorable, goodness!

Is she taking her pet chicken along on the trip or … is that chicken dinner?

She’s an insectivore. She and her chicken volunteer to eat farmer’s bugs to keep their crops healthier while fertilizing the same crops naturally!

or something.

Thanks everyone!!

We’ve been working in the garden so I’m hoping that I might be able to set up a good spot in which to photograph these creatures as they reveal themselves to me!

She has such a sweet little face! I don’t know a thing about needle felting, but it seems like the spikes would be fun. At least, they look fun!

Thank you!!
The spikes are attached to her head with felting needles, but are made first with friction felting. Takes a bit of time to make lots and lots of them.

Aaah! Cute! It’s perfect. You have excellent craftmanship.

Thank you!!

I need to get to making another. Currently half involved in trying to make a diorama background that will work with these creatures. Not progressing very quickly.
