I just got 4 more feet of worktable!

I am lucky to have two 6’ folding tables in my studio; one for cleanish dry projects, the other for “wet work”, complete with plastic sheeting.

But have you ever sewn on a folding table? Bounce bounce bounce!
So I put a spare door on the dry table. That stopped the bounce. I still had to move the machine away to do any other kind of project, then clear off the table again to sew.

Today I noticed the 2’ gap between the dry table and dresser. Hmmm. What a waste of space!

So I swiveled the door 90°, supporting one end on the folding table, and the other end on the dresser.
Voila! permanent sewing table, for free!

an “L” configuration is popular…lots of kitchens use this…I also have an “L”…so much work space above and storage below…looks good and like you have NO excuse not to create like a fiend…ha ha ha

Great idea! It’s always good to use up every last bit of space in a crafting area - at least in my experience.

Brilliant. Doors make great tables, sturdy and flat! Smart thinking.

Good solution! And yes, I have tried to sew on a folding table. I felt seasick afterwards! lol
