Inktober 2026

Is anyone doing Inktober this year?

Post your daily ink drawings/creations here!

Here are the daily prompts from the official Inktober site:

Post any ink stuff you make, even if it’s not daily. And I’d love to see all your ink crearions, not just drawings

so cute!
that Richard Scarry apple is delightful!

@LindyBlues , I’ve never heard of this challenge – does it mean only pen sketches? (no coloring)

Hi!

It’s ideally ink drawings, so you can certainly colour with coloured pens! But I say we draw however we want here on Lettuce Craft. The idea is to draw something daily.

The first post in this thread has a link that will take you to the official rules of the challenge. But again, I think we can be pretty laid back about it here

I cut out a bunch of 2 inch squares for another challenge and hardly used them. I know I am not a FB group or TikTok person, so I rarely post or get into the challenges (stranger danger!)…so I am happy to use them and share here as it is way more relaxed for me. Glad you posted this, @LindyBlues !

Same!

I quit all social media back in 2020 and have no desire to go back. Also, because I did copywriting back in the day, I can smell the marketing from a mile away… all of this hashtag this or that serve to promote whoever is behind the hashtag… and I’m not too interested in doing people’s marketing for them for free, especially when I used to get paid a pretty penny to do that, lol!

I like the Inktober guy because while he asks participants to use the hashtags, he also has right in the rules, “post on social media or just post it on your fridge; the important thing is to share it with other people.”

So I also like this more relaxed version

I’m keeping it simple and doing all my prompts on small sticky notes

Day 3-miniature. I wanted to draw a miniature horse because I have wanted one since I was a kid. But, two inches is not a lot of space..ha

I had purchased this grid journal for some project I saw on YouTube but now I can’t find it, so I am going to use it to hold my daily drawings. The grid is supposed to be 2x2 but it is slightly smaller. I don’t really care as I will probably just use the space that is there and add other things as well to make it sort of an Everything journal.

cool drawing for the Miniature prompt!
what a great idea for assembling all of your sketches for the month!
and @LindyBlues, I have a lot of post-its, so maybe I’ll follow your lead on that~

I love the idea of making an “everything journal” that inclides the Inktober drawing. I look forward to seeing the finished project!

Cactus, Day 4:

I made my daily sticky note drawing for Inktober for the day 4 prompt (cactus), but I think I want to make a larger drawing as well, that I’ll take my time doing.

I don’t normally draw in ink, so I like challenging myself to do something different during Inktober.

I have a really cool photo from when we visited Saguaro National Park during our RV trip (2018-2019), and I’d like to use that as inspiration to create an ink drawing. Kind of like when I used a photo from our visit to Fundy National Park as inspiration for an acrylic painting.

I use these little prompts to jot down ideas so that later, I can do larger pieces. We also visited Saguaro National Park and most of my pictures are of cacti! :slightly_smiling_face:

I got on a cacti kick for quite a while, embroidering them, crocheting them, knitting them, and even painting rocks to make a sculpture of cacti!

Doing ink drawing is not my favorite, but don’t look at them as finished pieces…just ideas!

I like that a lot–viewing the ink drawings as ideas for more involved art. I shall do the same!
