Isolation blanket fort component part 1

Weeks ago I decided to use all this available time to sort through and iron my 3 insanely huge and densely packed scrap bins. Since I’m planning to start a couple of “plaidish” quilts I sorted into 5 groups, light, med, dark colours, large enough for a face mask and too small for anything.

This project used the too small for anything bin

No rulers were used in the making of these blocks until the final trim. And once lockdown is relaxed… I will quilt fairy it to an acquaintance who, during the past three weeks actually helped me keep my shit together when I got a bit rocky… She is now a friend.

For a truly scrappy work, it came together so beautifully. Love your juxtaposition of the bright blocks with the grey sashing. Beautifully done.
