Junk Journal Page Gallery

I received from @geekgirl!

I love the beautiful nods to my birds theme! There’s a folded flap, accordion bit and a little stash pocket:

It also came with this adorable farming card and a ton of extras!

Pretty sure these lil’ envelope cuties are going to be salvaged for my journal too.

Thank you so much!

Great pages, @geekgirl and @LovelyMiss! I love all the cool elements people are incorporating. And how a lot of the pages are unique but also clearly “related” to each other.

I absolutely salvaged a couple of the envelope she sent me for my stickers page .

OMG! Everyone’s pages are so cool! It’s so jammed packed with little trinkets and secret openings. Things I would have never thought to add to the page. Learning so much from checking out the gallery. I guess I could researched a bit more.

I hope this isn’t the last swap for this theme. I’d love to join another and add to my new junk journal.

I have been away for a few days with family visiting, and lots of stuff going on with starting full time study, so I have some catching up to do in this gallery (and also I have just received two fantastic pages myself! which I am about to photograph)

@Reese52 the little suitcase flip out is adorable, and I love what you did with the travel theme

@chameleonhound the assemblage of vintage is so fun and weird, perfect for the junk journal vibe

@megwell the pocket page is so cool, you have such a knack with collage combinations

@geekgirl so many awesome layers, the language page looks like a mystery to be solved, and the vintage illustration page is spectacular - that eye!!

@LovelyMiss the purple extravaganza is so pretty, and you included so many lovely little details

This gallery is fantastic, I’m just going to take some pics to add some more fabulousness to it …

I received two wonderful envelopes in my mailbox!

@chameleonhound made me this incredible interactive page, it’s hard to see in the photo but the butterfly is attached to a wire and can move up and down inside a clear window, with bonus glittery confetti :sparkles: I don’t know how you managed to make this work, it’s very cool! And there was a bonus paper bag book for me to embellish too, I have got ideas for this already.

The other part of the page is an unfolding collage with several pages and images and found poetry phrases, full of delightful little details, I love it :sparkling_heart:

@LovelyMiss made me another fabulously colour coordinated page - I think you are the queen of colour coordination! :crown: It’s black and white with splashes of green, and multiple pockets stuffed with beautiful little treasures and spaces to write in, it’s gorgeous :sparkling_heart:

Thank you both so much! You put so much care and creativity into these pieces - they are going to take my junk journals to the next level!

I have to apologize to @chameleonhound and @Renstar - I’ve not gotten around to posting pics of their awesome journal pages. I was out of town for 5 days and then got really sick. I’m still really under the weather but over the hump I think.

From @chameleonhound I received this amazing page. I spent 5 minutes playing with the clasp and looking at all the animals

And this cute little guy hiding behind a flap

And a side pocket

and 2 extra booklets from grocery pages. will definitely be using theses

Thanks @chameleonhound for all the wildlife!

And from @Renstar her first ever journal page!! it’s amazing! She tea dyed most of the papers for that vintage-y look.

first there are the rotating corners and a pocket

and a little flap

a belly band

All the little extras

and the cutest little tiny book!

Thanks @Renstar what a great job!

Soo glad it arrived safely! I was starting to get twitchy because I don’t think I could do similar again

Oh wow, I couldn’t remember if I sent that l’il book or not. It’s nothing like perfect but it is cute.

Fun facts: several of the bits that made up the page came from geekgirl in my ephemera journal a few years back as a 12 days of Christmas swap.

The belly band was also tea dyed. Tea dying takes it’s sweet time!!
Lots of things went awfully wrong and so there was a lot of deviation from my original plan … to the point that I enjoyed it so much I was upset I only chose one partner!

I’ve just received the most delightful page from @Reese52 to complete my hoard of treasures!

She went with my Japan-inspired theme and created this awesome page with a Japanese gate and a mix of black and white text and colourful koi and sakura - so lovely! :cherry_blossom: :shinto_shrine:

Inside is a sweet doll and hand-drawn sakura motifs, plus space for my own secret notes and a decorated paper clip too :japanese_dolls:

This page really makes me happy - the cherry blossoms are flowering here where I live at the moment, and I adore them. It’s a fantastic addition to my journal! Thank you so much :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I was starting to worry that it got lost in the mail. So glad you like it! I miss the cherry blossoms. We lived in Japan for four years and we don’t have many here in Colorado. I really like how this page turned out.

It’s lovely!

The town I live in calls itself the cherry capital of Australia - there are fewer cherry orchards than there used to be, but there are still lots of lovely blossoms around at this time of year, it’s one of my favourite things about this place :cherry_blossom:  :cherry_blossom:

My other partner is sending from overseas and the wait was worth it! All the goodies and the extras are plentiful! I love it! Thanks, @jemimah

The extras with plenty of space to journal. I love the use of the sample paint chips.

Last but not least a coloring zine.

The page I sent seem so lacking compared to what I received.

I too was lucky to receive an international swap package! @jemimah you are truly a master of watercolor junk journaling!

Here’s the whole folded page, as well as a copy of the very cute aforementioned zine. (Lucky me!)

The first page front and back - I love the textures, including the stitching:

These were clipped to a pocket that contained these pieces, which also had some found poetry on the back:

And the piece de resistance, this stunning fold-out watercolor sky collage:

Thank you so much for swapping with me!
