The snail is adorable!!!
I received this awesome card from @geekgirl for my new “state of Indiana” theme!
Thanks again, Carlee!
I received this adorable Piglet from @geekgirl! Thank you so much!
I received from @Nightlight ! She chose my A day in the life of a hedgehog theme.
Look how freaking cute this hedgehog is!
Thank you!
Hello All,
I received from @jellybean theme was ‘Something Halloween’. Such an adorable black barn kitty who ‘forgot to put their tongue away.’ I have an indoor grey kitty who often does that:)
Jellybean also sent adorable black cat stickers, a Halloween mouse card and some scratch ATC blanks. Thank you very much @jellybean ![]()
…reminder that we’ve got a day and a half for last claims (yes, you can still join if you want!), after which I think we’ll start back up again in January.
I received from @thanate !
It’s a wonderful snapping turtle under ice. I absolutely love it! The technique thanate used is really cool, it truly gives the impression that you are looking under a creek to a world below. I am going to have to buy a mini frame for this one:)
She also sent along an enchanting little envelope with origami, a tea pull message and stamp! I also adore and collect stamps:)
Thank you Thanate, it felt like a Christmas present ![]()
Yesterday’s mail brought me this lovely map of something not a place from a word-connection game @megwell played:
oh no– apparently I did everything except hit “reply” and actually post this photo! ![]()
You had “fall” and “turtles” on your list, & I was thinking about some of the cut-away scenes in nature picture books of the kind of turtle that burrows down under the mud, but when I went looking for reference images I found this video instead, & loved the layers of bubbles:
What a cool video, I had no idea that turtles could breathe thru their behinds! I also feel bummed that scientist killed soft shell turtles to find out that they can’t live in anaerobic conditions:( But they are all such amazing creatures. I am going to go explore a frozen lake this winter! Thank you, knowledge is adventure ![]()
“Cloaca” is a common word in the NYTimes spelling bee puzzle, which I do every morning (I have hit Queen Bee Level for over 900 days now…).I knew what it was sort of…the video further explained it. Now I get your ATC…very cool!
