Your creations are always wonderful and you knew this one to be good before others caused you to question it. I agree with gozer that you’re being too hard on yourself. I bet your ornament is great!

Thanks for the advice, @gozer. I have a serious perfectionism issue and it makes it hard to see the beauty behind the imperfections. My brain fixates on every wobbly line, glue spot, slightly off kilter element, or symmetry issue. It also makes me hyper critical of myself at work and my appearance. I try to be kind to myself, but that is an ongoing battle.
@AudiobookLover - thank you, that’s so sweet of you to say. I’m going to send the ornament. If only because I put a lot of thought and effort into it and it’s not a complete disaster. Just…quirky.

I got mine from @MightyMitochondria and it is fantastic! She created me a beautifully magical mushroom. Its so lush and whimsical. I am enchanted by it!
And I wanted to show the extra detail she put into the stem with the metallic thread. It is so pretty in person.

I’m a little disappointed. I checked tracking info yesterday and was supposed to receive an ornament today. I was working hard on my last ornament when I saw the postman at the mailbox. When I finally finished the ornament, I chose to reward myself by getting the mail. Only, there was no swap package in it 
. I checked tracking info and it looks like it will probably be here tomorrow, but I’ll be heading out of town in the morning (I was supposed to head out a few days ago, but as always seems to be the case, I totally miscalculated how long it would take me to make the ornaments for this swap 
). But hopefully it will arrive tomorrow and my husband can bring it to me on Thursday 
!
Speaking of the ornament I was finishing, all I can say is that I’m glad it’s finished! Let’s just say things did not work out in real life like they did in my head. I came this 
close to scrapping the ornament and starting a completely different one, which would have been disappointing because I’d already put a lot of time and effort into it. Thankfully, I managed to pull it off. While the final outcome is not quite what I had pictured, it still came out fairly decent and I hope my partner will like it! I will be sending all three of my ornaments tomorrow!

I just can’t help but smile when I see him. He’s so quirky and sweet. He’s going on my tree for the holiday but then he’s gonna be my copilot and hang from my rear view mirror after that. I love him.

I received two fun ornaments!!
First up, I received this really neat ornament from @Tapestry.
I love the dimension to this piece! If you look at the ‘S’ in snow and the snowflake beneath the ‘n’ you can see the shadows behind them. Tapestry, I hope you create a post for both this and the super cute Nessie ornament you made. I’d love to learn more about the process you used!
Next up, is this lovely shadow box by @curiousfae for my Christmas houses theme.
I’m not sure what she used for the snow, but it has great texture and some glittery sparkles. Speaking of sparkle, I love the addition of rhinestones to the background! There is a piece of twine attached so I can put this on my Christmas tree, but I love the idea of displaying it as Christmas decor rather than an ornament. This is such a happy, fun piece and I absolutely love it!
