I haven’t been too crafty lately but I did manage to collage the front and back of my current art journal using just decorated paper scraps

Do you decorate the cover before you start the journal? Sometimes I do and sometimes I wait to see where I’m going…
I usually do the cover toward the end. This one I am about 75% done and just decided to do something with the cover. it was an old library book with a jacket. the cover actually started to warp when I applied gel medium so it was difficult to work on.

Hm…there is talk of hitting the beach this weekend, so I might miss Sunday. Keep me optional, but likely I will not make it.

Thanks! The coffee one was a. . .challenge, but I like it more today than I did last night. And now I better understand why stitchers talk about the back of the project being a mess

Okay, I need suggestions for today’s card, strawberry. Here’s what it looks like so far:
I feel like it needs a quote or something in that big open space, but I don’t really have anything. Strawberry Shortcake wasn’t really a major part of my childhood; did she have some sort of catchphrase? Do you think I need to source a strawberry recipe? (Hmm…) Just leave it as is? Halp.

Oh please make it something about how sweet this version is & she never needed to be made sexy she was just perfect the way she was.
Sexy is not the only value of a female, even the youngest of us.
I hate the sexification of everything.

I never liked her aesthetic so don’t really know much about her. What about a pic of a real strawberry shortcake? She’ll look like she’s excited to eat it.
