Paper, Mixed Media, Art Journaling Craftalong 2025

Just for fun - I know @Kwality570 just posted a new round the 4 x 6 swap.

We went away overnight, and got home quite late, so yesterday was a small sketch in a cafe and some collage when I got home. I wouldn’t normally have made time for art yesterday, but the size of the ICAD challenge made it easy.

I’m so glad you were able to squeeze one in, @jemimah!

My midnight card for day 7 is a cobbled-together Tim Holtz sticker poem. The background is from a Meera Lee Patel calendar page.

Found a tin at the creative reuse store for this year’s ICADS. Plus more index cards and fortunes.

As I was waiting in line to pay, they were rolling in shopping carts full of paper - larger than 23ā€ x 36ā€. I’ll have to come back!

Day 7

I had a lot going on today so I just played around with a circle template that @irid3sc3nt sent me. I plan on using the template to make circles I need to do some zentangles.

Dreaming of escaping to the northern hemisphere summer today……

I’m rearranging some of this week’s prompts to make it easier for me to (probably) complete cards while I’m visiting my parents later in the week.

Today I worked with the iridescent prompt by making a card with goodies our own @irid3sc3nt has sent me .

I added a bit of gel/paint pen for accent.

And a bonus background for another day!

These are really inspiring!

I’ve seen you use those stamps before. do you remember what brand they are?

Lovely cards @Smmarrt and @megwell

My creative mojo is MIA today, so I’m just noodling.
These are today’s.

I’m also doing a quick note on the back about anything that’s happening. I figure future me will appreciate it

Very nice! Love the mixed media work…the stamps are fabulous the way you used them!

I was so gung ho but then life got in the way again…when that happens, I revert to mundane, repetitive things to keep me occupied…comfort things like crochet or hand sewing.

I tried to do some cards last night but just stared at them. Maybe today.

I hear you! This is why I stuck random stuff on a load of cards, it’s easier to do one when it’s already ā€˜started’

I like the random ones, they do tell a story.

@geekgirl - the ladies are Kate Crane’s designs. She’s with PaperArtsy now, Carabelle went out of business. You can look at Joggles, SimonSaysStamp, or Amazon. They were selling knock-offs on Temu so I stopped shopping with them.

Oh that’s a bummer, I always really liked their stuff.

I guess I’m off-prompt today. I set out to do the embroidery one, but then I didn’t want to add stitching to the card I’d come up with.

The background is softer in person. I don’t know why my camera wants to bring out the yellow so much, but :woman_shrugging:t2: .

Oooh, what a great idea!! And, yay for just noodling :smiley_cat:

Hang in there @AIMR

Great backgrounds @megwell, I really like that ā€œcoated with sugarā€ card!

That teacup duck is awesome @Smmarrt
