Grew up with Pee-Wee Herman and his playhouse. Thought I would do a tribute. Not quite happy with his face, but overall I like it. 11x15. Watercolor and crayon.

I love this. I’m a huge Pee-Wee fan and also watched the new doc. I think it really does look like him and the flowers are fabulous.
I remember after the “incident” my mother kept telling us awful he was and in retrospect how creepy his show was. When my brother and I were alone I told him that I still loved Pee-Wee and he said that was ok, he did too. Just don’t tell mom. 
When the Netflix movie came out I was so happy to see my friend again.

I remember when the incident happened. My parents didn’t really talk with me about it, but I remember the radio station made a parody song about it that I’ve never forgotten. I grew up watching his show and movies. He had such and influence on my weirdness.

Golly. All the feedback I’ve been getting I must be crazy to think it doesn’t look enough like him. Even my old best friend complimented his likeness and said I’m getting better at faces. Means a lot, really. My cousin wants to buy it as soon as her house sells. I’m really excited for her to have it, please send her good juju to sell the house. She’s already moved out of state and has to make two house payments.
