Iām still digging through my projects⦠I often forget to post swap projects in their own threads, and sometimes thepoor things arenāt even photographed. I snapped plenty of pictures of these, so I really have no excuse!
I think this is my first completed project topic in the papercraft section. I carve stamps from time to time, but most of them end up in swap packages or in plastic boxes in the woods (in my Letterboxes). If I sit down to actually craft with paper and stamps itās either for a swap, or because I need an emergency label or greeting card These were made for @Mvanrh11 in the stationery swap.

Ok finally got around to posting some older projects that I did intend to post and thenā¦well life happens.
One of my lifelong friends told me about her recent obsession with the show Outlander. She was so enamored that she even went on a trip to Scotland! I was thrilled as she isnāt the type to really get into geeky stuff like fandoms and whatnot, and felt inspired to make her a set of Outlander-inspired gear to cosplay when she felt the urge.

The show is set in 18th Century Scotland, so it features a lot of gorgeous knitwear. I found a pattern for a basic garter stitch shawl wiā¦

Last year for Halloween, I decided I was going to wear a little witch hat fascinator that I had made long ago but never worn. Once I committed to that, the rest of the costume started to evolve, all with the idea of how can I use up stash? I picked up a whole roll of black tulle for cheap years ago but never seems to run out (spoiler: I still have more tulle in my stash). So I thought about how I might be able to incorporate that into the costumeā¦witches and black, itās a matā¦
I made a fancy cabled hat a few weeks ago to use up some stash. But now that itās done, I think I might be keeping it for myself. The pattern is Antler Toque by TinCanKnits and is not difficult as long as you donāt get distracted as I did a couple of times (and had to rip back ugh!). Also this hat is really hard to photograph hah.

Here it is in progress before I started the decreases.

HA! I finally remembered to post this!
For once, something lacey Iām wearing isnāt store bought or crocheted by me!
I posted about the fabric over a year ago here ā Fabric question
Including the pattern I was considering ā The Easy Long Cardigan, A New Staple In Your Wardrobe | So Sew Easy
the fabric has been sitting in my stash since my last trip to Japan, Pre-Covid. I bought at a little shop that did 100yen per meter
It was a an easy make as I used the fabricās scalloped edges for the hems instead of trying to sew it allā¦

I went and had a look through my photos, and thereās a ton of things I havenāt posted. Iām going to try to make more of an effort to post things when theyāre done!
Here are three things freshly posted, one recent project from the IYP swap, one bit of clothing I made for me, and one picture that was a bit different from my usual birdies.
I was lucky enough to team up with the wonderful @photojenn in the latest IYP Swap. She asked whether I would be interested in making her an art quilt. Well, I certainly was! I took inspiration from a piece on this blog from her Pinterest.

It was a lot of fun playing around with different fabrics and colours. I didnāt really know how it would turn out until it was finished, and that was half the fun too! Itās about 50cm square (from memory). I put hanging pockets on all four cornerā¦
I found this wonderful fabric in a local fabric store, and needed something awesome to make with it. What could be more awesome than pyjamas?
The fabric has little cats in racing cars allover it, and āCatās Racing Clubā signs, itās too cute. Hereās a close up of the fabrics.

I used the pattern New Look 6859 for the pants and added a little extra contrast with some coral red. Then I took a plain black tee, and used some of the fabric for a matching pocket and the āCatās Rā¦
This is a painting I did a little while ago. I keep in touch with my MA fiction writing class. Our beloved, amazing teacher was finishing her job at the university, so she could write full time (yay for her! sad for the people who wonāt get to study with her anymore). We put together messages to give to her, and I contributed this owl.

Itās in a more retro/arty style than the more cute/bright little pictures I often do. Looking back at my pictures over the last couple of years, itāā¦

Just discovered another unposted project, so my third item is ā¦
Towards the end of 2021, it seemed like a number of LC members were making C2C blankets in varying sizes so I gave it a try myself and realized I never posted the finished project.
Itās been hanging around my studio, not sure what my plan was for it. I have a new grandson but I made him a quilt and his other gramma and great-gramma both knit him blankets.

Here are two projects from the IYP swap.
Ever since @jemimah moved into her new house I knew I wanted to weave her some towels and was thrilled to get the chance for the IYP swap. I was so excited to send them off that I didnāt get proper pictures so Iām borrowing some of hers

I made this painted canvas journal for @jemimah in the IYP swap. I was so excited to send that I forgot to take pictures so Iām using one of hers
[IMG_0115]
Hereās a pic of it closed. I reenforced the inside of the spine with tyvek to keep the holes for the elastic from expanding.
This was really fun to make because I painted a larger piece or canvas then got to decide which part to rip out for the journal cover. Thanks for looking!
Iāll have to look through my photos for a third project.
