I know you said you’re on Android, which browser are you using?
I have the native Samsung browser and Chrome on my phone. In the past if I’ve had trouble in one browser with photo uploads, they worked in the other browser. I mainly use Chrome for LC on my phone.
One more thing - are your laptop and phone using the same wireless connection?
I’m using the LC app on my Android phone. And yes, it’s the same wifi connection as my laptop. I just tried using Google on my phone and no go there either. But then I lowered the file size from 2MB to .5MB and it uploaded just fine. So is size an issue on android?
Size shouldn’t be an issue, however, I’ve also found that optimizing my images or dropping the physical size with a photo app helps. Smart phones take pixel dense photos that can be printed which means they’re usually 1-5mb per image. But for posting on a website, we don’t need such huge sizes for the images to look nice. Dropping the DPI (dots per inch) to 72, decreasing the image size, or just saving as a file type like jpg in a photo app can reduce the file size significantly.
Something to try: turn off your wifi (ONLY of you have unlimited data on your phone plan) and try the regular photo upload. If it works then the wifi connection on your phone may be throttling the bandwidth you can use and large files may timeout. If it doesn’t work that at least tells us wifi isn’t the issue.
I’m on the train with nothing to do so I decided to try uploading some photos again. It still doesn’t work so my home wifi isn’t the issue. I’ll try reducing size next.
