So many stamps!! I love those spiral coasters and the stamped bird page. Such a simple technique but often overlooked.

LOL, you guys. @Edel cannot pass up an opportunity to spoil ya rotten! Just look at all this loot ~ stickers and fabric and more stickers and library book inserts and these cool little paper folder holder thingies she made that are full of a teas (Polish tea! Is it flavoured black tea or herbal?).
And that’s just some extras!

Does she know me or what? Scrappy bunting and DOTS! Love. This is going right up in my studio, I know exactly where.

Then this super double plus extra special piece, this is a close up as it is in a mat already for framing. The sentiment is very appropriate for me right now, so busy that I can only pull off the smallest crafty efforts and also self-care but those little steps move you forward so they are so valuable. The snail, I love snails, particularly an IRISH SNAIL lol, IYKYK. And the background is an inside laugh, I love that you used this for my affirmation Edel. You are the best.

Oh, and then there are more stickers! And also my favourite of favourites, Waldorf Stars.

I already have some from her and her daughter Molly, they are the best. I almost have a rainbow now

I feel utterly spoiled. Thank you my dear friend, I love you <3

I received from @Annchen today!

The cutest little froggy canvas! And that quote is so perfectly me on the card. I love the vintage style postcard and the Discworld luggage drawing. There were actually two lindt truffles…one of them magically disappeared into my mouth before I could get a picture. Thank you, Ann!

I love that quotes! And yes, I have those books too

It’s amazing how lindt truffles disappear like that! But marabou is delicious too. I love that froggy canvas.

@Magpie your envelope was on the scales and I kept adding stickers until it reached 249g . 250 was the limit! Then a prayer that the post office scales is weighing the same as mine  what rainbow colours are you missing? If she has that colour glassine paper I’ll get her to fill in the gaps

Green & purple! I have the paper but am scared to try. Maybe we could have a zoom tutorial, teacher-Molly instructing? I’d love that. @Pigeon could join, she’s crafty too

Definitely do a video call for fun, but don’t be scared! Kidlet and I make them regularly and it’s definitely something you can do. If you feel daunted, just pretend the paper is fabric and you’ll be golden.

Exactly! It’s actually really easy, just modular origami. And you can always unfold and refold.

So I got both swap packages on the mail today. How lucky am I. First up was @jemimah isn’t this mailing box very cool?

Out came these wonderful goodies, this art. I love Kirsten’s watercolours.

And these joyful stickers, Australian animals!! and sweeties

And these super cute pandas stickers, did make these Kirsten??

And then this amazing print. I love it so much!

If that wasn’t enough glory for one day. I opened my package from @Magpie

And again got spoiled! Glittery robot stickers!!!

rainbow bacon. It’s delicious!

And the piece de resistance in this package was this incredible art journal. I adore the fabric, the tassels and the pages of brown paper. Love love love.

And the best of all, @magpie used the same inspirational quote as @jemimah

I was so cranky coming home from work and these packages of love, skill and friendship, have cheered me right up.

I am so glad it arrived and even more glad it gave you a lift.

So a story about the lovely watercolour card you included in my package. We spent a weekend in London, it was a nice hotel with a fairly youthful management. As always with hotels, I play the cancer card (I figure if I have done the cancer+treatment, I get to use it forever) I told them that I had seen my oncologist the previous week and as far as she knows I am cancer free and that we are celebrating. This is not a word of a lie. :slightly_smiling_face: . This time it resulted in two free glasses of prosecco.

however this also led to two long conversations with the hotel manager about her sister who is going through cancer treatment. And her family issues etc, She was a lovely young woman, but having a tough time, with a difficult childhood. As part of our second conversation, I had my sketchbook with me, that had the card from @jemimah stuck in, I pulled out the card and gave it to her. Because I felt that the inspirational quote might speak to her

@jemimah she took it, she read it and she cried, (she isn’t a woman who cries a lot ). It touched her deeply and she really appreciated it. I thought you might like to know this. x

OMG I am crying at work thanks a lot
lol
But really, that is an incredible happenstance & I love that you shared the positivity. How incredible to have our hearts strung together across the literal oceans & continents, bringing positive affirmations to a sister in need of that energy. Awesome.

It was a beautiful thing to do :two_hearts:

I received such a lovely package from @imera, thank you so much. I really needed some positivity at the end of this Monday :squinting_face_with_tongue:

All wrapped up in gold paper & lacey bits that are going straight into stash

The postcard is wonderful!

The Queen & King Kong!

And this positively gorgeous piece of work, even my man leaned over to get a good look & compliment this.

I would not have the patience or dexterity to create such a delicate scene, it’s so special & a great reminder to me to let myself just be creative.
Thank you so much!
