I finally started my Halloween quilt!!
You mean, perfect timing to be done by Halloween, right?
ha ha I also have mine to finish by Halloween…I used your pattern to make the top and I bought backing fabric before Joann’s closed shop, but it is still sitting in my WIP pile. If @gozer gets her done, I will be motivated into doing mine…ha ha ha
Saw this pattern and thought of you @AudiobookLover
Extra pressure @aimr , I need it! I have been planning this quilt forever. Hopefully I can get it done by Halloween this year!
Side note, I know it was discussed last year, but I can’t find the post. What are the advantages/disadvantages between Polyester and Cotton quilt tags?
That is really neat and I like how colorful it is! I should make this for LittleBookLover, I think he’d enjoy it and I definitely have fun fabric for the folds and the filler squares.
I still need to make his disappearing 9-patch I-Spy quilt . Hmm, that would be a good time for me to set aside fabric for this one.
@gozer, you should get yourself some bingo cards. It looks like you could easily check off a few prompts with this quilt!
It may not look like it, but I am thiiis close to getting a Bingo! Once I add the hanging pockets and binding to my mystery quilt (my last two steps because I quilted it yesterday!), I will be able to check off every remaining prompt in the ‘L’ column!
Is there a June prompt yet?
Yes -
June Prompt:
Inspired by:
Winter, the desert, or birds
I didn’t realize I hadn’t added it to the prompt list at the top. Thank you for the heads up, it is now added.
And, drum roll please, i finished my quilt top!!
I have to cut the binding, rewatch the video on how to do the binding because I kind of forgot how to do it, piece the back fabric, quilt, and actually bind it. Just having this much done is completely amazing to me. I just stare at it. LOL!
That is beautiful! I love the pastel Halloween thing and I am not a pastel colors fan.
I fell in love with these fabrics. They are Halloween, but not in your face Halloween. The pinks strips are actually more of a coral too.
Beautiful!
@gozer that’s lovely, the fabrics are fab!
@AudiobookLover we need a special bingo prompt for wrestling with a machine…and winning
I have made stitches with my long armer. Yippee, turns out she’s a thread snob.
It sounds like you deserve a crafty merit badge! Congratulations on getting it to work. I’m really excited for you to start using your machine!
Also, such a bingo prompt may very well appear in the future .
Today’s bingo prompt is:
Sandwich your quilt/quilted project
I’m just sitting here enjoying the view on this gray day…
I’m so happy to have this quilt done and I’m really pleased with how it turned out!
Plus, I picked up the perfect label yesterday:
I also picked up these labels, which are perfect for projects I complete when I’m at my house:
Those labels are too cute!
@AudiobookLover i love how you coded your bingo card! If ever I get around to catching up this quarter I’ll do it that way.
