It hurts to know one of our community members has passed! I know I’ve interacted with her in the past and she was great. Thank you for letting us know she has passed on. I am so sorry for your loss and am thinking of both of you and wishing you peace!

This is such sad news. April always sent the best happy mail and I have several of her ATCs and small pieces of art around my house. I still can’t believe how well she managed organizing the STS a few years ago where I think I was messaging her like 15 times a day. She really made an impact here and will be truly missed

@BlueMockingbird I am so sorry to hear this about @bluebird , condolences to you and your family. April was a shining light and she brought so much love and joy to this space with her friendship and creativity, and craftster before this site! I have exchanged so much mail with her over the years, this little bird is the cutest. She was a prolific swapper here, over 50 official swaps! Her art is all over the world with us, appreciated forever.

Yes, it was. I had to have a really good cry and say a prayer for her and her family. I hope they are all doing okay. Knowing how much we miss her… how they must be devastated.

. I really wish I could read them to April right now. I recognize so many of your names/handles: She cared for all of you so deeply and spoke about you regularly. You were like her family, co-workers and besties all rolled up into one.
As you may have guessed from my lack of response, I’m not super active on ANY sites. When I leave the office, I’m headed for the 3D world, and that’s my happy place till I clock back in on Monday. April was just about the opposite. She was perfectly happy playing in her little box, artsing, crafting, and computering. As she got sicker, her world shank even further, making you all even more important.
I don’t know how often I’ll check in or how long I’ll stay on, and I don’t want to be a sad reminder to you all. I just want to say this: Love each other. Appreciate each other. Be kind to each other. Encourage each other. Love costs you nothing, and it gains you everything. That’s what I learned from my precious BlueBird bride. I hope it finds a home in your heart. I hope you “Make a little birdhouse in your soul” (Thanks, TMBG!).

I’m late reading this so I hope you will still see it Bill. I was just thinking about April and the fact I haven’t seen her on here for awhile but now I know why and I’m heartbroken 
April and I exchanged many packages, ATCs and letters, it felt like I knew her even though we’d never met in real life. I even had her address memorized. Some of my favourite items that I made live at your house and I have some fantastic things from her too.
From our letters over the years, I know I’ll see her again in eternity.

I’m heartbroken to read this news!
My brain says thats it’s impossible to care so much about someone I’ve never actually met, but my heart says that i knew bluebird’s essence from her posts and her precious artwork .
She was such an important part of this community, and I’m blessed to have had her in my online life.

Agreed; I just heard about this and am really sad to hear it. I did multiple swaps with bluebird, who was always such a warm presence in the community. Despite never having met her, I will miss her. Sending my love to her family. <3
