Don’t be sorry, it’s good not to be wasteful! When my grandma died, my mum cleared out the house and she took home a small box of “ugly” cards (the traditional grandma-style florals and such) and for a few years she sent them to us for birthdays and Christmas “happy bithday from Grandma and me!”. Other family members laughed at my mum’s frugality but I loved receiving them.
What cracked me up was that the first impression of the card was a really cosy, campground scene, but if you look at it twice, it turns out the whole tent is actually on fire and so is the the forest in the background. A perfect commentary on the dumpster fire that is AI and AI art … made by AI, a form of intelligence that can’t think!

A b&w quilt would be amazing. I did a mini quilt for our foster kittens in b&w and it’s striking.

I received my last two envelopes last night!
From the lovely @Immaculata. I love them all, but my very favorites have to be the rainbows, the gold raindrops on the purple background, and the sewing items. I’m going to try soooo hard NOT to hoard them, but instead to use them in something fun and joyful, like they deserve.
And from the beautiful @Edel, who spoils her swap partners so very much. There’s so much going on in this little collection. The radishes! The black cat hidden on the black background! All the fun florals, the Dia de los Muertos skull (accidentally upside down on the bottom row), the teeny tiny tile print, the reddish purple leaves, the turquoise paisley! They’re all so much fun.

I’m still not back home yet, but my husband sent me pics of two envelopes that have arrived for me. It looks like I’ve received from @magpie and @Immaculata. I will be home next week and am looking forward to opening the mail!

Sorry, I have not had a chance to post photos of my last two packages that I receive, I apologize. Mornings have been hairy and it’s already dark when I come home so I’ve had no good light to take pictures. Hopefully tonight, fingers crossed!

She included fun Christmas and Halloween fabrics along with some grays! The Christmas fabric is by Kimberbell and Immaculata mentioned the Kimberbell embroidered quilts that I’ve made. The funny thing is, that I know this fabric because I have a kit to make an embroidered Kimberbell quilt that features…this fabric and the rest of the Cup of Cheer fabric line
