I need to see by daylight tomorrow to be certain, but I started my thing tonight, and after about an hour it feels like the colours are wrong. So chances are I’ll start over tomorrow. It’s fine, I was thinking of this as a first attempt anyway. I haven’t done this type of craft in a while so I thought I’d do a first attempt, and if it was still a bit wonky, I’d keep it for myself and make a new, better one for my partner.

I was going to pick up my sewing machine from the shop today, they said it was running again in a text. When I arrived it was just about running, but barely. It’s still not ok. It’s clear they’re not going to fix it any further so I’ll have to take it to another shop. So change of plans! One of my planned projects involved sewing, but I’ll have to come up with something different, or adapt it to hand sewing and/or using the chain stitch on my coverstitch machine.

If I remember correctly, we have the same sewing machine, Husqvarna 21e. If it needs some smaller repairs in the future, and you feel up to trying it yourself, feel free to reach out to me. I’ve done several smaller repairs on it and have a service manual somewhere.

It’s my other machine that’s broken down right now, but it’s actually a great idea to pull the Husqvarna out again. It’s a wonderful machine, I just feel it’s a bit more difficult to operate than my other one (Bernina 801). It deserves to be used again.

My week was crazy busy and I didn’t get any crafting time. At least I got all my supplies for both crafts. I hope I can finish my summer in Germany piece next week and start on the other craft, too.

I have supplies for my first idea, but I don’t think it’s a medium, so it’ll need a companion piece… Or maybe more ideas to flesh it out a bit.

I did my medium, and by ‘time’ it fits, but I don’t feel it’s ‘enough’.
I have other ideas - to use your words - to be a companion to it that I am mulling over.

I managed to create some Swedish summer today. I went in a different direction than I had originally planned, but I’m happy with it. I’ll let it sit and see what kinds of finishing touches it might call for later.

I’ve had some things going on in my personal life and two broken sewing machines, but I’ve got plans, supplies, I’ve started some things and three national holidays, a PTO day + a weekend before SO. So it will be fine! And I’ve got an appointment with a different sewing machine repair shop on Tuesday. Fingers crossed I can take two working machines home.

Muahaha, I realised I have the perfect supply for a summer ________. I will still craft the other item I had planned, but this should work out well for the swap size.
