That watermelon-o-lantern is superb, too. Keeping jack-o-lanterns lit without singeing them is a challenge, and often requires leaving the lid off, creative carving, or what I do now is just using a battery-powered candle.
I’m excited to get crafting! I even talked my in-house partner into travelling to a craft store this weekend with me, one that I haven’t been to before.

I moved at the end of last month, and my craft room is all unpacked and set up. I have a little idea of what I want to do. I love how much extra space I have here.

I have officially started my first craft, which I hope is a mix between my partner’s and my summer and Halloween preferences.
I’m still trying to decide between several ideas for the other item. But I’ve got some time to think while I finish #1.

I’m back home! It was fun to work on my craft on my trip, but my craft room at home is much more comfortable. My desk is really big and is height-adjustable (ikea) so I always have space for my laptop to watch documentaries while I’m working and I can choose to stand or sit.
I planned out my other craft in my head and later today I’ll check if I have the supplies for it.

It’s been a wild few weeks at work but I took today as a comp day and it’s a perfect rainy day to sit with tea and a craft project and listen to a podcast or two.

You’ve never carved a pumpkin before but you’ve carved a watermelon? 
That’s so good. You gotta carve a pumpkin now! Having a group pumpkin-carving activity is the best. You all make your own and it’s so fun and then you can roast the seeds! We pretty much never use real candles in our jack-o’-lanterns. We just use battery ones. I don’t know anybody who chances the real ones.
I know Halloween isn’t really celebrated much in europe, right?
