It is small (35 x 26 cm) abstract painting and I used acrylics on canvas board.
It has kind of a funny story.
I did a couple of art shows in 2001-2004 and this small painting usually had a lot of admirers. It is because of them that I now (that I posted it on my Blog) gave it its name (Surf by Moonlight), because thatβs what most of them said they saw in it.
What it was in reality: the leftover paint from a larger painting, that I just brushed onto this smaller canvas board instead of flushing it down the sink, to maybe use as a background for a future painting. I was not consciously making a painting, and it took me about 3 minutes.
Now that you know that, do you still see it as an actual painting?
This painting pulls me in each time I look at it. I wish i better knew how to describe the way it makes me feel. I would love to own it so I could gaze at each day.
