Tea For Two Swap - SU Thru Jun 15, SO Jun 22

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a good cup of tea makes any crafting session better. Let’s dust off our best tea cups, prep those yummy biscuits, and spread a little tea time joy.

In this swap, we’ll be sharing two sealed tea bags of our favorite blends along with a hand-made card and an extra small craft. Everything should be mailable within a regular envelope so tea drinkers all over the world can participate and not have to raid their piggy banks before hitting the post office. Like the Galentines, Monster Mystery, and 4x6 Art Swaps you can start crafting and making your cards immediately. Please don’t sign up until your card and craft are completed.

Just when I said no more swaps…. But, maybe?

@EclecticDreamer - I mean…I said no more swaps for a bit and then I went and posted one. Clearly I have impulse control issues.

I hope you’ll join us if you have time :slightly_smiling_face:!

@melg78 - so excited for you to join in!

Hahaha I was just telling myself yesterday, when the Europe swap is done … no more swaps for a while.

But this sounds perfect for an international swapper too, and I might have some WIPs / UFOs that fit the theme.

Just to clarify, what do you mean exactly with a “sealed” teabag? (rather than “just” a teabag).

Yay!

Great question. I just mean that it’s an individually wrapped tea bag. Like this:

And nobody sends an unsealed tea bag such as this:

Not that I think anyone would send an open teabag but better to be clear. I’ve updated the main post to say “individually wrapped” as that’s far more clear.

Ooh this might be a good opportunity to do a zine, of some of the art I’ve been looking at for the last few days.

I think it might be called befuddled and bewildered, which is what I am looking at most of the exhibits

Very tempting…

That sounds like it’d be a cool zine.

I enjoyed reading that article you linked to about the art exhibits. Some sounded really interesting, but most sounded very strange and performative rather than art centered. They have people talking though, which I suppose is the primary aim of that style of art.

I’ve been so unmotivated lately, but this seems so sweet and easy…

I have an idea for a small craft and have lots of tea (@Immaculata individually wrapped bags are very common in the US), so I’ll try to get a card done this week. Which isn’t the hard part. The hard part is cleaning off my craft table, but I am making progress on that!

Thanks for setting this up @Tapestry!

Hmm, my not-boring teas are all in unwrapped bags, but I’ll think on this one.

We also have individually wrapped teabags, but usually not sealed but in a little folded paper envelope. My current favourites teas are all unwrapped, but I usually reach for unwrapped, pot-size teabags, or loose tea in the shop, I never pay much attention to other types. A lot of teas are probably available in several forms.

Can you share a pic of the paper wrapped tea bags? I’m super curious.
