Tea For Two Swap - SU Thru Jun 15, SO Jun 22

She did a great job!!

I’m struggling with my items. Turns out combining two crafts that you have done countless times before is not as easy as you think.

I hope you find something you enjoy and that doesn’t stress you out!

Do the card have to be themed or just whatever? I’m over thinking…. I went from “I’m gonna do A" to “but I could do B, C, Z²"…”

Really I should be cleaning my oven, but…. Whatever. I’m going to test my idea for small made item, and play with card idea A.

They can be whatever as long as they’re handmade and your best effort. Thanks for clarifying, I’m sure others had that same question!

I’ve been procrastinating yesterday and today, but it ended up being very fruitful! I cleaned and organized my bin of die cuts and my bin of stamps and ink. When the ink pad leaked I cleaned up the worst spills but now everything is organized and sparkly again and I know exactly what I have.

I picked fabric for the BOM this morning and I also put away the pile of craft magazines in the bookcase in my craft room (they’re supposed to live in magazine holders, not piled on top of things in the bookcase). And I came across a papercraft magazine that I bought around Christmas a few years ago.

I’m not a natural papercrafter, I don’t “see” ideas in my head like I do with fabric and yarn. I bought a used Sizzix a few years ago that came with a lot of dies that look nice but I wouldn’t have necessarily picked myself, because I don’t know what to do with them. Most of my stamps were freebies that came with magazines, or come from swaps. So it’s more a bunch of “random stuff” than a curated stash. But as I was leafing through that magazine I came across some great ideas for the cards! Of course I’m not going to make Christmas cards  but I saw some techniques that work with the supplies I have and that I would never have come up with myself. I’m excited about making the cards now and I’m sure I’ll finish them today.

I can’t wait to see what you make!

I ended up making something different than my first idea, because several of my other ink pads turned out to be dried out. But I made two cards using techniques I’ve not tried before, my room is organized, my stamping stuff is destashed and I moved all the dies into a good box I saved :joy: All is well that ends well.

Destashing and organizing on top of making items sounds like the best bonus!

My results are usually the opposite. My craft area looks like a tornado hit when I’m done, supplies everywhere, paint and paper bits in inexplicable places, side projects glaring at me from wherever I stacked them to free up space… :joy:.

This is exactly how I’m feeling these days!
I’ve tried watching videos for ideas, but inspiration is not coming to me easily :frowning:

and Tapestry, I have the tornado effect on my dining room table when I am done with a crafting session :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks for the reminder! I’m going to grab my supplies…

Have any of you seen Kjetil Krogstad’s videos? He dances flamboyantly to music, usually with a tea cup in hand.

That sounds awesome!

I just started filling in my questionnaire.

When I read through the original post again and stumbled across this:

As I know from experience 4 weeks for letters from Germany to the US is definitely on the fast side. Also the other way around seems to have gotten slower than before.

I really would have loved to join in. I even had the perfect small items to send. This past two weeks have been extremely busy and I wasn’t able to craft what I needed. So glad this was set up by craft first then sign up. I hope a round two will be in the works later. I look forward to seeing the gallery.

With the Galentine’s swap, I believe the swap mods granted a bit of extra grace for international, given postal challenges of late. However, I will say my last two international letters got here surprisingly fast.
