The Astronomer’s study

I created this altered Altoids tin for my partner @LovelyMiss in the Nerd Games swap. I knew she liked space and science-y stuff, and I wanted to do something unique. I did a google search for altered tins with a space theme and didn’t find much.

So I went with an astronomy theme. I made all of the miniature items here from scratch. The telescope was my favorite. The book features tiny reproductions of pages from Galileo’s notes! (Sorry these shots are quite dark… terrible lighting!)

This is really cool. Looking. I have commented on it in the other thread, but the deep blue curtain really gives in a rich feel.

A-maze-spaceballz! Great astronomy details! What did you make the telescope from? It looks so finely done.

Thank you! It was made from paper and some jewelry findings. And glue. Lots and lots of glue.

Your miniatures are top notch and this is no exception. So cool!
