Watercolor Feather Postcard

I was in need of some inspiration for my first Summer Nerd Games postcard decoration, so I asked my son to choose a watercolor tutorial to make with me. He thought this feather painting tutorial looked fun, so it is what we did. I kinda liked mine better before the outlining, but I learned something new and it turned out bright and cheerful. I think it’s a fun concept, and I will try a similar technique in the future. We used water color pens, as the video suggested, that I’d forgotten we had. They are interesting…not quite paint, not quite markers. Some colors blended better than others. Best of all, my son and I had a great time painting together.

Very pretty. I like them with and without the lining, but the background is what sets them off!
