I love the common loons. My family stays at a lake in NH that has resident loons and their haunting calls in the dark of night really enhance any ghost stories around the campfire.

We used to camp where there were loons, I loved hearing them. I never saw them, or the pelicans, in the city when we lived there, nice to find them this time.

Gorgeous photos!

I was also going to comment on the loon. I camped in upstate NY growing up and loved their calls and guessing where they’d pop up on the lakes while canoeing. :black_heart:

Loons are my favorite as well! But all of these photos are really well done!

We used to canoe, too, and loved the loons up close.
