Incredible!
Such pretty paper
My Halloween fabric stash is getting a workout this month. The orange spiderwebs has been reduced to the patchwork scrap basket but there’s still plenty of the other two prints.
Just so sweet and lovely
spooky
fabric patterns! Perfect ribbon embellishments too.
Indeed! Clever and scary cuteness!!! ![]()
You have the cutest mini prints ever! I adore the black spider web dress! Just too cute!
Another book! So that’s a grand total of three sheets of scrapbook paper out of my stash. (To be fair, I didn’t buy anything new for this project, but other than printer paper these don’t make much of a dent in my hoarded supplies.)
They’re so stunning!! Thanks to your pictures I even looked for a bookbinding course in my area (good thing they don’t offer them, I need to destash, not add stash). To be able to make notebooks that can easily compete with the most expensive storebought ones, that would be amazing.
Yay! I’m finally DeStashed all the scubby yarn that my MIL gave me this year. Here was the final push:
443 grams / 472.9 yards used for a total of 13 scrubbies.
I also used up more black soft cotton/cotten blend yarn I found in my stash. I made more makeup removal washcloths. My MIL requested more for her friends, and I sent 6 to my female relatives in Virginia (I forgot to take a photo of those):
199 grams / 717.5 yards used.
It feels like it’s been a while since I had much to post here. I finally got the urge to use up some of my scrap jean stash to make a pillow cover. The pieced panels were made with no overall design plan, so it’s a bit chaotic, but I like it. It’s envelope-fold style so I didn’t have to mess around with a closure.
Trying to resist the lure of a new pre-printed planner for next year so I pulled all my unused journals into one spot. I think I have a notebook problem…
That’s a stash I’ll have to work on next yearOoh, you have an old iron. Looks cool as a bookend.
They are so nice!
I, too, have a notebook problem. I love fresh new pages. I have so many partially used notebooks. I am going to spend a weekend painting the pages so I can use them for art journals. I did stop my subscription of Field Notes, but I have plenty to use. And, the box in my closet that I haven’t even opened yet…probably more partially used notebooks.
You have motivated me to rethink my notebook purchases for 2026.
I also have a notebook/sketchbook problem. I tend to be precious with them and don’t want to “ruin” them. I have so many sketchbooks with only a few pages used. I’ve been marginally successful at getting myself to use them more recently by keeping them on my desk and reminding myself that the only “waste” is if it’s just sitting there taking up space.
If one was so inclined, one might consider reassigning some or all of these to a “gift stash” and free oneself up to acquire the notebook of one’s dreams that would be joyfully used right away.
Maybe, one might even consider gifting them as a donation to a women’s shelter or community center, that hosts writing workshops or therapy writing as a means to process tough experiences. If one didn’t think they knew enough people personally who would love a new book .
(I’m the friend people come to to justify their buying habits in my circle lol)
Whew! I used up the rest of my cotton/cotton blend yarn received from my MIL last year. 35 more washcloths made between Oct and Nov. I’ve given up trying to calculate the grams and yardage at this point.
These will be added to the ones made in the previous months and packaged into gifts.
Also, this is my time of year for using up my partial skeins from earlier in the year to make scrappy hats. Still working on some, but here are the ones ready to go:
You really plowed through the yarn you were given! I think you single handily made more hats than all of us combined this year!
I haven’t reached my 25 hats hits goal, but I sure made a lot more hats this year! I forgot to post my last hat in the hats-along and do a count. Off to post!
Not as many as I had intended, probably less than last year. I was trying to get all the scrubby and washcloth yarn out of my stash, which took more time than I had anticipated.
