2/3: Still picking away at chucking the junk I should have thrown away ages ago.

Work seems to have fried my brain, so probably no actual crafting today.

I spent time working on my monster sewing room clean out. I found this clear tub that perfectly holds my mini bolts. I don’t have enough shelf space so I’ll am trying to decide. What stays on display for easy access and what gets put in trays on the deep shelves. The box has my small collection of Heather Ross, Kaffe and a set of honey fabrics to go in my kitchen.

Unfortunately the tubs are pricey at the container store so I will be on a hunt for a less expensive version. They are sturdier than the cardboard strawberry trays I get from Costco. They hold as much though!

If all goes to plan, these will be part of my honey’s valentine card. If not, I’ll have some mini envies in my stash.

More weaving this morning and then started a quiet book for our grandson, he turns 2 in eleven days.

I asked my son and DIL for gift ideas over a month ago but didn’t hear anything so asked again last week. DIL says to son, I gave you an idea, didn’t you pass it on? Son replies, I forgot. So I, foolishly, ask, what’s the idea? to which sons says would you make him a quiet book? In 2 weeks??? was my reply. I’m sure they think it won’t happen but Gramma has to make it happen.

Here’s one set of pages well under way …
the dump truck is brighter, it’s my lighting. I’ll add the activity tomorrow.

I have been adding to my list post each day but here’s my first finish.

If you can believe it, I stitched the seam allowance on the dress too small & her frock’s baggier than it should be, lol.

Feb. 3: I wrestled my silhouette machine to get some decorations on my books. I’m rather proud of this one but silver is hard to photograph

Feb. 3: Still working on black Summit Shawl. Little more than a row completed.

Feb 4: You guessed it… still working on the shawl. I had housework to do this morning, so now I’m treating myself and our dogs to this lovely unseasonable day, and sitting on the front porch to knit.

How nice to be knitting outside in February! Didn’t you have snow not too long ago?

 yes! Two weeks ago today. And temps in the teens. Today it’s 82F. Our high yesterday was 84. We are above average right now, but not unusual for Houston.

Yesterday all I had time for was getting our supplies and plotting.

Today I did cutting and gluing.
