Week 10: Easy peasy. Did you craft this weekend?
I did. I am filling my days with mindless crafting so I don’t wallow in depression. Keeping busy but not really making anything. Mostly cutting out clothes and cleaning my craft room but also planning projects. Craft therapy.
I got set up but too exhausted from this terrible cold, at least my supplies are organized?
I did do laundry & move all our clothes to a new wardrobe & closet, & I moved a big bookshelf. So the exhaustion part makes sense
Week 9: I craft more days than not. Knitting on the couch is my go-to, but I occasionally sprinkle in some light sewing or mending.
Week 10: Does a bird fly? Yes, I crafted this past weekend. Lately, probably some spring cleaning instincts kicking in, I’ve been focusing on using up random balls of yarn in my stash to do charity knitting. I’ve got a pile set aside to mail in when I get past this spring knitting clean up.
I did! I basted a quilt, got a couple inches done on my knitting, trimmed two books and started making the covers, and I dropped off a box of things at our local creative reuse store (escaping without bringing anything home with me).

I did a tiny amount of knitting this weekend. I’ve definitely lost the plot here with DH getting moved to 3rd shift. Not quite acclimated to the new rhythms.
I was visiting family this weekend and didn’t get around to any crafting. In fact, I formally decided over the weekend to scrap (ha!) my extended daily scrap project, so I think I actually anti-crafted.
Pioneer gloves for work. My seat/desk at work is right under a ceiling fan so I’m often freezing even on the warmest days lol. I need to rearrange my office, but until then, this will help.
Simple 2x2 rib legwarmers. I’m not sure why the tops flared out when I made the casing so I can tie them securely to my legs, but it’s for me, so I’m not too bothered and functionally it still works fine.
Storyteller hat using some a leftover skein of Landscapes yarn. This will be donated. The texture was fun to learn but I forget how splitty and unspun that yarn is so that made knitting a little less fun.
Week 10 - No crafting this weekend. We ran errands and went to a couple of open houses.

I decided to do a random drawing of all you participants and am now working on a surprise project. I’m not telling who it is for…ha ha. I think I might do this more because I enjoy making things for others but really don’t want to do swaps right now. Hope to get it mailed out this week!
I did get to craft this weekend, just barely! On Sunday afternoon, after the dog playdate/people day drinking (also just barely), I snuck up to my craft lab and worked on a bigger project I’ve had going for a week-and-a-half-ish.
Also, I’ve been hired to paint another slot car track for a former neighbor. When they lived in the ‘hood he had a HUGE studio/shop space with a HUGE slot car track (10’x20’) that I painted the lines and other stuff on the track itself. Since they moved “into town” and down-sized, he has been putting another track together, but this one is only 5x10. Anyway - it’s crafting, even if only one part of the project.
The former has been so enticing that I have neglected clearing off my workbench to receive a part of the track scene that I can bring home to work on. Oopsie!

You do the most unusual and fun-sounding projects!
I did! I wound up rotating between three WIPs (although one found itself in time-out by Tuesday night due to generally annoying me) and got a piece of happy mail ready for mailing.
