Alvin in a yarn/thread eater. My cat Rocket is not at all interested and would gladly sleep in my project bag. Hide the yarn…I saw a FB from our emergency vet where they removed almost a half skein of yarn from a cat’s tummy!

I did some fun amateur mending on my “play” jeans. Since I wear them to Kidlet’s garden club meetings I decided to embrace the theme:

A hole at a worn crease in the thigh got a carrot garden fabric peek-through patch job and a splitting side seam got an embroidery thread loose carrot. It amuses me. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

How fun to have a theme for repairing those jeans! The carrot is funny and nicely done!

I forgot to get pictures when I finished this last month.

My arms get cold at work when I’m resting them on my desk, so I came up with this mat from pieced jean scraps.

Love that and what a great solution and reuse of scraps.

Oh wow, that’s so pretty! And from jeans! Did you have to use one of those special needles I hear about for sewing?

Thanks! I probably should use a special needle, but I just kept with my all-purpose. It was fine for what I needed.

Fun sprinkler for my little one to play in the last days of the current heat wave

That’s a great idea. I keep wanting to do something with a sprinkler, but our water is so expensive here. So, no fun stuff. :-1:

Well, that sounds super fun! These are cute! I don’t know if I could make one pair in an hour, let alone 6.
