Alvin in a yarn/thread eater. My cat Rocket is not at all interested and would gladly sleep in my project bag. Hide the yarn…I saw a FB from our emergency vet where they removed almost a half skein of yarn from a cat’s tummy!

I got a few craft kits for Christmas. I’m taking time out from work, so intend to get some projects finished…

I did some fun amateur mending on my “play” jeans. Since I wear them to Kidlet’s garden club meetings I decided to embrace the theme:

A hole at a worn crease in the thigh got a carrot garden fabric peek-through patch job and a splitting side seam got an embroidery thread loose carrot. It amuses me. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

How fun to have a theme for repairing those jeans! The carrot is funny and nicely done!

Thank you! That means a lot from you folks that are accomplished embroidery floss users.

I forgot to get pictures when I finished this last month.

My arms get cold at work when I’m resting them on my desk, so I came up with this mat from pieced jean scraps.

Love that and what a great solution and reuse of scraps.

Oh wow, that’s so pretty! And from jeans! Did you have to use one of those special needles I hear about for sewing?

Thanks! I probably should use a special needle, but I just kept with my all-purpose. It was fine for what I needed.

Dang this is cool! What a great solution for your discomfort, too.

Just a quick in between project.

My man bought this lighthouse decoration for his mother’s birthday and asked me to change the color.
