I made this little needle-felted hoopla for @Silky_Bee as part of the Spring To Life Swap. I’ve been wanting to do a 3D needle-felted hoopla for awhile and this was the perfect excuse!
I wrapped the embroidery hoop with some pretty washi tape, which might be my new favorite way of finishing a hoop!

Oh em goodness. The needle felting is a treasure. I also had no idea about the washi tape wrap!!! I have stuff that needs to be framed but I am loathe to spend the time painting dozens of hoops. Mind blown!
What a lovely hoop! I love that you made it 3D! I especially like the pale yellow flower in the background. I like the way the petals come around the stigma(?) (I think that’s what it’s called based on my quick google search a moment ago).
The washi tape does a great job of elevating the hoop from plain wood to obviously springy!

. I was contemplating how to finish the hoop and considering a fabric wrap when I spotted that pretty roll of washi tape sitting on my desk and figured why the heck not.
