A Pair of Pendants

I created two pendants for @Rlynn in the recent Ongoing Wish Swap. The first is a tiny watercolor dandelion puff, mounted and coves with a glass bezel.

The second is a polymer clay trans pride necklace that uses the colors of the trans pride flag (pastel blue, pastel pink, and white). While trying to think of a design I was struck by some lovely images of a femine figure in blue juxtaposed with a masculine figure in pink. I decided to play off that and created a butterfly/moth pendant. The traditionally feminine butterfly is done in blues with florals and hearts. The moth is done in pinks with a traditionally masculine sun motif and some foliage to represent the Greenman. The two are connected by a thin strip of white and each side has several spots of white to tie them together. I also used some mica powders for a bit of shimmer on each side and sealed the finished pendant with polymerclay sealer. The pendant is approximately 2"x2".

Initial sketch of the pendant design:

My initial stab at the moth side, before I drew my design. I discarded it as too big and too chaotic:

It turned out lovely. I love the original ones shells, but it probably would have been too big. The one you finished is awesome!

 I love them both but the transgender pride inspired one brings joy to my heart. I love having different ways to show the world that I support my trans community members. Thank you so much.

Your trans pride inspired piece is so thoughtfully considered! I also really love the little dandelion painting.

Beautiful pendants! Feminine/masculine butterfly halves fused together is super-neato!
