A Peachy Pussycat Portrait

Last February, @LuckyDog adopted a sweet orange kitty named Peach. When I saw the pet portraits in the September 2025 issue of The World of Cross-Stitching, I knew I had to stitch the cat for him. I finally finished it in time for Valentine’s Day, so now I can post!

I used 16-count light green Aida cloth (which is quite the adjustment after working on 14-count! ), and she fit neatly into a 5”x7” frame matted down to 4”x6”. I love that pop of blue against her orange fur!

It’s currently on display in his living room, but not before the OG Peach could show me how much she appreciates the likeness.

Now we just need to find her a cat-sized pair of sunglasses…

Thanks for looking!

A portrait in cross stitch! It is so nicely stitched and finished. I love the light green background cloth. You did it…got it done and ready to give!

That is the cutest cross-stitch and so beautifully executed. The green aida cloth is a perfect backdrop! I especially love the pic of Peach next to her stitched counterpart.

This is an utter hoot! The green aida is perfect for the marmalade kitting and turquoise shades. Here is a link to cat sunglasses.
