For the 2024 Santa Sack Swap I wanted to try something a little different from the drawstring closure style bags I’ve made previously. I settled on one that ties to close and that can be used as a tiny fabric basket if you like. The fabric is cute Christmas cats to suit my partner, @wittychild’s, tastes.

I adjusted the pattern slightly and overall I’m happy with how it came out, though I might add a button closure in future iterations.

The bag can tie fairly flat. Or you can leave it a bit taller/fuller.

Or you can knot the very ends of the ties for a basket.
