I made this mug rug (my very first one) for the mini MAF swap as the one thing telling something about me.
First of all I’m a tea addict - hence the mug rug and the fabric. The fabric also indicates my love for the UK. The corduroy appliqué shows the silhouette of Cologne cathedral representing my hometown.
And I love it so very much
Very nice!
An international homage!
I like how you wove in your own story into a fun and functional item.
Beautifully done!
Pinkies up!
And God Save The Queen, indeed!
Beautiful, and how nice that you made it so personal!
That is fabulous! The cord is stitched beautifully too, that’s not always so easy to do.
Packed with charm!
This is darling and I love the fabric you chose.
I love it! The fabric you used is really cute and I recognized the Dom right away. I’ve seen quite a few medieval churches in my life, but I think the Dom in Cologne is the most impressive one I’ve personally visited. York Minster is probably nr 2 (another Anglophile here )
You didn’t even mention it, but I love your little tag, too! It goes really well with the teacup fabric & looks very classy.
I love it, your sewing skills are great. That tea fabric is adorable (fellow tea addict here)
