Prompt/Challenge Title: Molly’s Housecraft Challenge - Reparo Project Name & Page Link: Quilt WIPs Bins Team: Daily Prophet Brief Description: My wire bins have been a catch-all for all of my quilting fabrics, scraps, and WIPs. So I moved all the scraps to a plastic tub, gathered up each of the projects, finished cutting some FQs and then organized those by color value.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Leaky Cauldron Project Name & Page Link: Gluten-Free Brownie Bites Team: Witch Weekly Brief Description: Tried a new recipe. Tasted pretty good, but mint frosting makes all brownies better.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Madam Malkins Project Name & Page Link: Gluten-Free Brownie Bites Team: Witch Weekly Brief Description: I used pins and needles to craft these quilt blocks.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Crafter’s Choice Project Name & Page Link:Crochet Sheep Team: The Quibbler Brief Description: This little sheep was crocheted for fun! I was going to make a few in different colors until I started making the curlicues - they’re not hard, but one was enough for now!
Prompt/Challenge Title: Crafter’s Choice Project Name & Page Link: Knit Snake Block LC Contest/LC Swap/Charity Item: Local Yarnworker’s Group Team: The Quibbler Brief Description: This was made for my local yarnworker’s group - several people chose coordinating patterns, and they’ll all be put together into a blanket.
Did you ever work on a pattern called The Great American Afghan? My organizer found my three or four squares of it and was like, “Oh, this looks like a WIP.” I nervously laugh, uh sure. I only last worked on it twelve years ago
@tendstowardschaos I aspire to have my scrap squares as organized as yours.
@plaidpineapple The colors on your quilt blocks are lovely! Can’t wait to see more.
@jellybean What a cute little sheep! I say this with great affection, but it looks like it is just crying out to be tossed.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Hogsmeade Station Project Name & Page Link: Itty Bitty Doll Dress Team: Daily Prophet Brief Description: This dress was made for a 4 inch tall doll, so it definitely fits the “less than 4 inch” description. Made with lawn and lined with a handkerchief. My sewing machine kept trying to eat it.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Hospital Wing Project Name & Page Link:Crochet granny square purse Team: Witch Weekly Brief Description:
I like to think I am fairly yarn competent so I will post this project for the Hospital Wing prompt. had wanted to make a granny square bag for a while using an “heirloom” square but my yarns took over, the original square was moved back to stash and this purse came to be.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Crafter’s Choice Project Name & Page Link: April ATCs LC Contest/LC Swap/Charity Item: Ongoing ATC Swap, April 2024 Team: The Quibbler Brief Description: These ATCs were made for swap partners in the April ATC Swap! All but the moth are colored pencil - the moth is marker with colored pencil.
Mostly Crayola, with some Prismacolor depending on what colors I have (I have a lot more Crayola colors! ). I know for the background of the Discworld ATC (the one with the turtle), I used Crayola with Prismacolor on top, then blended them - I wish I had taken a picture before blending, because it made a huge difference!
Oh yeahhhh… I should see if those blenders will work on other brands. I have quite a few Prismacolors, but I recently got into Bruynzeel and Cretacolor.
Prompt/Challenge Title: Flourish and Blotts Project Name & Page Link:Book of Mysteries Team: Daily Prophet Brief Description: I made this junk journal base to embellish on the theme of The X-Files. While I have lots of pockets, notepads, ephemera, and cards made up, I haven’t yet had the chance to add any of that ‘junk’ into it.
